Our latest workshop had one big takeaway: ChatGPT is only as smart as the way you train it.
Here’s what stood out:
1. Train your "GPT's"
The paid version is worth it, if you want Chat GPT to take on different "personas". You can tailor it to your tone, style, and goals specific to each of the different "persona's" and it doesnt get mixed up by the different types of prompts you might be using it for. Use them to get sharper focus in every area.
2. Stay sane, turn off suggestions.
The endless stream of “maybe you’d like this” isn’t helpful. It’s information pollution. Fewer distractions, more focus.
3. Feed it your own thinking. Don’t just ask “write me an article on XYZ.”
Give it your ideas, values, and opinions as the starting point. That’s how you keep it objective and authentic.
But here’s the twist: tools like GPT only mirror what you bring. If your prompts are vague and not thought through from several angles (content, tone, what you want the output to be specifically), the quality is just part of the generic AI generated content world we are starting to see.
