Wondering if you want a partner in your business?

 🧨 Be prepared to give something up.

Nine months into moving B-inspired from founder-led to three partners; the relief is very real.

Communications? Not mine anymore.
Processes? Largely off my plate.
Design? In much better hands.

Things keep moving when I'm not there, and I have significantly more mental space for the parts of the business where I add the most value.

But there is a price.
I've been challenged, had pushback. and lost decisions. I've watched us do things differently from how I would have done them alone.

🔥 And THAT, is the real test of whether you're ready for partners.

Not whether you're tired.
Not whether you need help.
Not even whether you've found people with complementary skills.

Can you genuinely hand over some control?
💡Can you disagree with a decision and still back it because you trust your partners judgement?

🌱 Interestingly, I'm very glad there are three of us.

Theres no 50/50 deadlock. If two strongly agree and I'm the one sitting there slightly unhappy, theres something quite powerful about accepting: "OK. Two people I deeply respect see something I don't. Let's go."

For me, thats the trade. 

Would I recommend partnership?
Only if less control and sometimes less speed sounds like a price worth paying for far less weight on your shoulders, and a business with a much better chance of growing beyond you.
